If you call J Marshall Square home and sports are what you love, you’re in luck. There are many sports arenas, fields, and sports bars nearby, so you can support your teams to your heart’s content. Whether you want to cheer on the sidelines or at the bar, there are options all around you!

Chesapeake Energy ArenaSports Arenas in OKC:

Chesapeake Energy Arena

If the NBA is where your heart’s at, the Chesapeake Energy Arena is the place for you. Located in the heart of Downtown OKC, it’s the home of the Oklahoma City Thunder, and what’s often deemed the loudest fan section in the NBA. The Chesapeake Energy Arena is also home to many concerts and annual events, such as Monster Jam and the PBR rodeo.

Cox Convention Center

Can’t get enough basketball? The Cox Convention Center, located right beside the Chesapeake Energy Arena, is home to the Oklahoma City Thunder’s Development League team, the Oklahoma City Blue. Tickets to these games are usually less expensive than Thunder tickets, so it’s a great opportunity for the whole family to be able to watch.

Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark

If baseball is more your thing, Oklahoma City has you covered. You can enjoy Triple-A Minor League baseball at an OKC Dodgers game at the Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark, also located in Downtown Oklahoma City. For more fun, “Thirsty Thursday” games offer $2 domestic beers to drink as you enjoy the baseball game.

Taft Stadium

Oklahoma City hasn’t forgotten about soccer! Taft Stadium is located near Oklahoma City University (just 6 miles away from us!) and hosts the Oklahoma City Energy FC, Oklahoma’s United Soccer League team.

OKC Sports Bars:

Republic Gastropub

Good food, an extensive craft beer menu, dozens of televisions streaming all of your must-watch games, and less than 10 minutes from J Marshall Square? That’s right. Republic Gastropub has it all. Located in Classen Curve, this is a great place to watch the game. Even when the restaurant is full, there are multiple TVs in the waiting area and they’ll serve you drinks while you wait for a table, so you don’t miss a second of the game.

Deep Deuce Grill

Located in the historical Deep Deuce District of Oklahoma City, the Deep Deuce Grill is a great place to grab a drink and still be surrounded by the downtown community during a Thunder game. Their menu is tasty and affordable, and they have a great drink selection, too. With events on their calendar for a myriad of sports, you’ll never miss a game.

Belle Isle Restaurant and Brewery

Game watching, live music, yummy food, and close to home? Belle Isle Restaurant and Brewery is also located near J Marshall Square and will cater to all of your sports-watching needs. Aside from watching your favorite game, Belle Isle Restaurant and Brewery also hosts live music every Friday and Saturday on their second floor.

Watching and playing sports at the same time? You bet. At Topgolf, you can kick back, relax, and watch the game, or you can grab a club and play some golf from the comfort of your own private bay – servers will bring you your food and drinks while you play.

The Drum Room

Located in the Western Avenue District, The Drum Room is a fun place to watch the game while enjoying delicious (and famous) fried chicken. With portions meant to share, The Drum Room is a great place to go with a big group of people so you all can enjoy their scrumptious southern food.

J Marshall Square is surrounded by great local sports spots with endless opportunities to watch exciting games just miles away. Interested in living BIG with us? Contact us for OKC Luxury Apartments today.
